Project Description:
Gilston Electric was engaged as the primary contractor for City College’s renovation and rehabilitation program. This involved undertaking a complete rehabilitation of the Grove School of Engineering and comprehensive electrical system installation for the school’s landmark Steinman Hall.
The scope of work included four new 4,000 amp incoming electrical services, normal and emergency power distribution throughout classrooms, offices, and laboratories, a new emergency generator, a comprehensive FCC-approved radio frequency fire alarm system, complete access control apparatus, and telecom systems throughout, as well as an extensive lightning protection system for aluminum cladding.
