F. W. Sims provided demolition of existing piping systems and installation of new HVAC piping work within the UN General Assembly building, as the complex underwent general restoration and renovation.

The project involved modernization of the HVAC systems with an energy-efficient design, including a modern high efficiency steam-to-hot water plant and various air handling systems serving the lounges, auditorium, and lobby. Due to the nature of the project, working in and around the fully operational UN complex, it also entailed the highest levels of security clearance and safety procedures.
