Hellman Electric’s crews furnished and installed an Integrated Security System throughout Throgs Neck Bridge, a six-lane suspension bridge linking Queens and the Bronx. The security system extended to CCTV cameras, radar detectors, vehicle incident detection cameras, photo detectors, door access and alarm systems. In addition, Hellman installed new fire detection and telephone communications systems. All systems were integrated to new head end workstations via a blown fiber optic network installed along the bridge.

This project also involved architectural and structural renovation of an existing office space into a new data center, with computer server racks and head end workstations. This included a raised floor, air conditioning system, and backup generator with modified switchgear.
